Change to Make a Change
May's C2MAC project is Faith Crossing UMC in Denham Springs. Faith Crossing is a 3 year old congregation whose pastor, Leslie Gatlin Stephens, grew up at St. Andrew's, and a large portion of the congregation lives at or below the poverty line. Faith Crossing is making disciples in communities that are often overlooked by new church starts, and by churches in general.
Welcoming Congregation
In 2011, St. Andrew's achieved the fourth year of being a Official Welcoming Congregation of The United Methodist Church. We were the first church in Baton Rouge to achieve the certification. Hospitality Coordinator Donna Leggett has provided the leadership in this achievement. Thanks, Donna! You can read more about it here.
